Ireland - Getting there: Wales and England

A few places in the UK before and after reaching Ireland: Strumble Head in Wales. On the way back we visit iconic Tintern Abbey in Wales, founded 1131 with gorgeous restored west window tracery. After a walk through England's countryside we get to Devil's Pulpit for an fpv flight and another look at Tintern Abbey. Not much to see of Offa's dyke, a "great earthwork boundary build along the Anglo-Welsh border by Offa, Kind of Mercia, probably during the 780s" or so English Heritage says. A quick look in high winds at St. Briavel's Castle, now a youth hostel, finishes up this vacation.
