Top AirVuz contributor used a DJI Air 3S drone to create this fantastic aerial video from the Altai Mountains in Siberian Russia, which was picked as a DVOW Finalist in August of 2026. The Altai Mountains cover an area of about 325k square mi. (around 845k square km) of southern Siberia as well as parts of Russian neighbors China, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. With peak altitudes of up to 14.8k ft. above sea level (around 4.6k m), the mountains are the source of the Irtysh and Ob Rivers, two of the three giant Siberian waterways.

While our main unit (Inspire 3) was grounded for a set change, I launched the compact DJI Air 3 to capture the texture of the mountains. This flight explores the concept that composition and light outweigh sensor size.
