The ascent of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to its current world city status would have been impossible without massive investment in public transportation.  In this video by Kakikujalanjalan, you'll get an aerial glimpse of the KTM Komuter commuter railway, which operates in and around this metropolitan area of nearly 7 million.  The trains carry approximately 40 million passengers per year as of 2018; without them the great city would have seen its growth constricted by traffic congestion.
