We start at Meare Fish House, a cute little place used by the fish warden for Glastonbury Abbey. They caught fish in ponds that are gone now and transported them on the river. Next is Glastonbury Abbey, the ruin of a church started in the late 12th century. Highlight here is the kitchen with its pepper shaker style.Glastonbury Tor is a hill 158 m high sporting the tower of 14th century St. Michael's church. Muchelney Abbey, the last stop, is a ruined monastery - most of what's left today is the abbot's house. Don't miss the nearby parish church. Sorry about the jello - broken prop.
