AV News: Prodrone's Robotic Drone

If you own a drone- there's a big chance you got it to do one thing.... Other than fly, of course...

Virtually all the videos on AirVūz have one thing in common- great video, shot from above. Now- a new drone from Japan is going in a completely different direction.

Check it out- one of the first things you notice- the two huge arms! Builder 'Prodrone' says this drone is designed to do hands-on tasks- not take video.

Known just by it's model number, Prodrone says this drone can lift up to 44 pounds, stay in the air for 30 minutes, and fly over 16 thousand feet high!

Aside from lifting and moving things-developers say it can also do tasks like cutting cables, turning switches- even help with lifeguard duties! The common theme being that the drone can do things that would be too dangerous for us humans.

Prodrone doesn't answer all the questions about this drone- they don't say how it's controlled, how much it costs, or when it may be available.
